Polygonal Portrait Study

A project that I started when I was thinking of a gift for my dad's birthday. My sisters and oldest nephew live across the country from my brother and I, so finding a recent picture that we were all in was impossible.

I decided to take existing photos of my dad, my siblings, and my nephews and create a polygonal family portrait. The name borders surrounding the portraits were a result of the project evolving into a comic book.

The portraits were done in Affinity Designer , each triangle individually drawn and filled in with the portrait. It was a ridiculously tedious process (I think I drew over 3,000 triangles), but I'm so happy with the way it turned out!
